SAN DIEGO, Nov. 27, 2023 — Mission Federal Credit Union (Mission Fed), San Diego’s largest member-owned, not-for-profit, full-service financial institution exclusively serving San Diego County, has been named on the 2023 Top Workplaces list by The San Diego Union-Tribune. This is Mission Fed’s third year in a row receiving the honor.
The recognition celebrates the best work environments in the region and is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey conducted by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 drivers of engaged cultures that are critical to the success of any organization including alignment, execution, and connection.
“Our over 600 team members and more than 300,000 members understand that communities work best when they work together – and happy employees equal happy members,” said Debra Schwartz, President and CEO of Mission Fed. “We have great pride in our employees, and we’re proud about the results we’ve received in this important survey. Thank you!”
The 24-question employee engagement survey gathers responses regarding issues relating to workplace culture, including specific areas where employees rated Mission Fed highly enough that the credit union was also recognized in the following categories: Purpose & Values, Compensation and Benefits, Work-Life Flexibility, Innovation, Leadership, Professional Development, Employee Well-Being, and Employee Appreciation. Employers that score high enough are recognized as a Top Workplace. Employers are ranked within size groups to accurately compare results. Energage also determines special award winners based on standout scores on specific survey topics.
