SAN DIEGO, CA – Mission Fed Credit Union, the largest member-owned, not-for-profit, fullservice financial institution exclusively serving San Diego County, signed a multi-year sponsorship with the San Diego Padres for the 2021-2023 seasons.
With the sponsorship, Mission Fed and the Padres are modeling what a winning team is for San Diego – both on and off the field. Mission Fed is a regular staple in home games as the presenting partner of the Mission Bell, which is a tradition to ring the bell at the opening of each game. Mission Fed will be ringing the ceremonial bell on the following dates: July 7, July 28, Aug. 5, Aug. 25, Sept 8, but the Mission Fed team is bringing in their top community nonprofit partners to pinch hit. Mission Fed partners Girl Scouts San Diego, San Diego Food Bank, San Diego Rescue Mission, Junior Achievement and the Chicano Federation will be joining the credit union to share in the excitement.
“Just like the Padres, Mission Fed has a strong desire to engage with consumers in exciting ways,” said Debra Schwartz, President & CEO of Mission Fed. “Our organization was built on a mission of earning trust, investing in our fans’ success and caring for our local San Diego community by giving back. We couldn’t be more pleased about this sponsorship and the good we’ll be able to do together in our community.”
“For the Padres, working with our corporate partners, like Mission Fed, to help our community and give back is of great importance,” said Sergio del Prado, Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships for the San Diego Padres.
