Mission Fed started in 1961 as a credit union for the educational community. In 2003, we expanded our membership to include all San Diegans, but Mission Fed maintained its commitment to the educational community, local nonprofits and the San Diego community at large. In service to the educational community, we’ve created programs that give back to local schools, students and teachers. Our award-winning Mission 2 $AVE Program helps students at 51 local schools and youth groups learn about saving and money management. Through our Mission for Our Schools Donation Program, we offer a $25 no-strings-attached donation to a participating school of your choice when you open a Mission Fed Checking Account and mention the program. While our commitment to education remains strong, we’re also focused on giving back to other San Diego nonprofits.
